Global Medic Force clinical mentors build capacity of health systems by coaching local health professionals in developing countries. Tasks include:
- Coach local physicians and nurses in medical care at the bedside
- Give seminars
- Provide clinical assistance to local health workers during rounds
- Share operational expertise to improve clinic efficiencies
As the global leader in clinical skills rapid transfer to emerging nations, Global Medic Force saves millions of lives every year throughout the developing world.
We achieve this through our cadre of + 850 specially selected and trained volunteer expert medical professionals, sourced from 15 Western countries, that we deploy as ?clinical mentors? for 6 to 12 week field assignments during which they optimise clinic operations in any given healthcare facility throughout the developing world.
The effect of this process is that the developing world is freed from its perpetual dependence on one way Western charity by teaching them to treat themselves.
The effect of the highly controlled Global Medic Force process is to create an immediate, permanent and self sustaining increase in the quality of healthcare provided in the developing world within their own existing resource constraints, thus saving millions of lives, without the need to rely on Western charity.
